Who can apply for a vote?

In principle, all members of the DGM can apply for an ethics vote. This primarily concerns persons at whose institution no ethics committee has been established, but also all those for whom their own committee takes too long, is not feasible or is not professionally suitable. In such cases, a justification must be given (see §3.1.2 in the Rules of Procedure).

What is the vote for?

Applications can be made for any music psychology research that is human-centred in order to ensure the dignity and integrity of the participating individuals. In exceptional cases, a vote can also be requested for research that has already been carried out and is only now being planned for publication.

How does the application work?

To submit an application, please download the Rules of Procedure and the application form. The completed application form together with all other required documents/information (see §3(1) of the Rules of Procedure) will be sent by e-mail to the Chair of the Commission.
