The German Society for Music Psychology (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Musikpsychologie e.V., DGM)
The German Society for Music Psychology is Europe’s largest national society in this field. It was founded in 1983 by Klaus-Ernst Behne, Günter Kleinen and Helga de la Motte Haber. Its goal is to promote music psychology research, young scholars, and music psychology discussion. The society is interdisciplinary between musicology, psychology, social and cultural sciences, acoustics, musician medicine and music pedagogy and is open to interested parties of all professional groups and scientific orientations.
