DGM2024 Conference

The 2024 annual conference at the University of Music and Theater in Munich, organized by Nicholas Ruth and Kristin Zickler, was a success. A detailed report will follow.

In the run-up to the conference, 12 young researchers took part in the “Doc.Workshop” to present their projects, and two workshops were held. A total of 92 people attended the conference and were able to see and hear three keynotes, 12 talks and 39 poster presentations.

The poster prize was awarded to Lisa Schön with her contribution “Individualized music listening for people with dementia with the IMuD app – acceptance and effectiveness of an app-based music intervention in the home” – congratulations!

Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Auhagen was made an honorary member of the DGM for his many years of service to the society, the yearbook and the promotion of young researchers, as well as his scientific achievements. On behalf of all members, we would also like to thank him for his continued commitment.

Announcement: The Annual Meeting 2025 will be held from September 12-14 in Freiburg by host Clemens Wöllner, and there will again be a “Doc.Workshop” for young scientists from September 11-12. Information will be added to the website soon.
